Who are "The Few"

We, The Few is a virtual air combat squadron. Our game of choice is IL-2 Sturmovik 1946, modded with Fusion pack.
We try to get as much as possible out of our game, meaning that we fly fighters and bombers, Allied and Axis, props, jets, rocket fighters, and gliders: if it leaves the ground, we'll fly it.
Our approach to IL-2 gaming is not really not be 100% historical (we don't refuse to play "what if" missions), but when in game we try to keep it realistic, or at least kind of realistic, given the limitations of the game: we prefer medium/hard to hard settings, including full switch.

We are an international squadron, we accept members from anywhere in the world, and we use the English language to communicate with each other.
Minimum age is the only limitation: you must have turned 18 to join our squad.

The name "We, The Few" originates from the idea of coming up with a funny game tag, we thought that flying around in the virtual skies with nicknames such as WTF_myname would be quite funny, so the bakronym We, The Few was adopted as our squad name.
However, after a while we realized that maybe not everyone would appreciate that kind of humor, so we decided to switch tag to something less provocative. We had already the website set up, so we kept the name We The Few and only changed the game tag to a more conventional tf_

Required Software

To fly with us, you will need:
IL-2 Sturmovik 1946. That's its full name. We call it "the game".
Fusion pack, the most complete and easiest to install mods pack for IL2.
HyperLobby "Middleman" software used to connect users to game servers.
Teamspeak 3 Client Voice comms software

Squadron Nights

Our official Squadron nights are Friday at 10AM Eastern (3PM UK, 4PM in Western Europe), with some elasticity, and Saturday at... no set times yes, join when you can.
We are trying to set up our official squad times in a way that works for everyone but that's kind of hard to do when you have people from the 4 corners of the world. Anyhow, we try to be on TS3 every time we can, so dont wait for the official times to jump in and say hi.
